In honor of Valentine's Day, I'll post a clip from one of the most romantic (bittersweetly romantic) films I can think of, Nuovo Cinema Paradiso... Giuseppe Tornatore's masterpiece. This clip also features the most romantic song I know of, the "Tema d'Amore" by Il Maestro, Ennio Morricone.
You HAVE to watch the whole thing... if you don't, this might leave you very confused. My heart has just now melted thinking of how much I love this movie.

ok i really wanna see that now! what happens with the guy watching!? you know i live in jordan and cant go rent it so you really should tell me.
ReplyDeletealso, i love that song. im pretty sure it is in Sabrina (the remake with Harrison Ford). It's kind of haunting in that movie. I like it.
ok now you've got me thinking about hauntingly romantic soundtracks...ever listened to John Barry's soundtrack of Somewhere in Time (Christopher Reeves, Jane Seymore). It's one of the best.
ReplyDeleteIt's not really what happens to that guy afterwords since that is the end of the movie... it's what happened to him up to that point. I really can't tell you because it would ruin one of the best movies you'll ever see.
ReplyDeleteAnd that song isn't in Sabrina, it was made especially for this movie. But no doubt, Sabrina has a great score. And it's funny that you mention Somewhere in Time... my mom was just talking about that.
